From break to recovery for De Klimroos
Branding for De Klimroos, a care institution for disabled people in need.
The overarching concept behind the branding is that of the fault line. Each person has their own story and past. The arrival in De Klimroos is often the result of a trauma - the break. To visualize this, a formal language that originated in Japanese Kintsugi was used.
The philosophy behind this is that of repairing fractures with gold. In this way, the restored object becomes more beautiful than its original form.
This dividing line of design language was continued in the logo and applications in order to arrive at a strong formal whole.
